I'm here for the kindness of the people who pulled me up when I had nothing. They are the reason I'm here. Paying that forward isn't optional.
Why This Matters
My job is to play the role that I'm assigned. I'd like to think that if I keep doing that then the rest will work itself out. I'm not sure what I'm building - I just know that I'm not defined by my career, or my best moments or my worst. So I build - and I build everyday.
I didn't get here on my own, and I won't make it to the end on my own either.
"None of this is for show. It's the cost of a life I almost didn't get to live."
One-on-One
I help people in tech through the Growth Mentor program. I provide pro bono sessions to executives and individual contributors for things like product ops, SEO, LLMO, career transitions, product management, being sober in tech, etc.
Outside of Growth Mentor I work one-on-one with men in recovery and men rebuilding their lives. I've been in their position, I know what it's like to start from nothing, wondering if it's even possible. I'm proof that it is possible - and if it's possible for me it's possible for anyone.
If you're stuck on a problem, trying to pivot your career, or just need someone who's been through it - reach out. I'll make time.
Making an Impact
These organizations do work that matters — in mental health, recovery, and animal welfare.
Working to destigmatize mental health and support addiction recovery through education, advocacy, and direct support programs.
Visit Pro Human Foundation →A North Carolina-based animal rescue dedicated to saving dogs and finding them loving homes. Close to my heart — especially as a dog dad.
Visit Black Dog Rescue →An all-volunteer, foster-based animal rescue in North Carolina that saves dogs and cats from high-kill shelters.
Visit Cause For Paws NC →Hands-on volunteer work at homeless shelters and treatment centers. Not every organization has a website — some of the most important work happens quietly.
Hands On
I volunteer at homeless shelters and addiction treatment centers — talking, sharing and listening to the people that are there. Cooking meals, sharing my experience and what worked for me when it's useful. Sometimes the most valuable thing we can offer is just showing up - not paid to be there, just spending time with people when they're at their worst.
I also work with men in early recovery one-on-one. Not as a counselor, but as someone who's been there. Sobriety gave me my life. The least I can do is share with someone else trying to find their life.
If you know someone who could use a conversation with someone who understands, connect with me. I'm always available for that.
Giving back fuels the work. The work funds the giving. See what that cycle has produced.
